WWE 2K25 has officially replaced the New Wave Pack DLC’s previously promised celebrity guest character with resident luchador El Grande Americano. The New Wave Pack for WWE 2K25 was the first in a series of DLC releases, consisting of up-and-coming performers like Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley of the Motor City Machine Guns, Stephanie Vaquer, and the current WWE Women’s United States Champion Giulia in their very first WWE 2K appearance.
The New Wave DLC pack was also set to include a special celebrity guest, similar to the later Dunk and Destruction Pack’s NBA stars Tyrese Haliburton, Shaquille O'Neal, and Jalen Brunson and the WWE 2K25 Fearless Pack’s KSI (who comes dressed in the Prime energy bottle costume he wore while trying to help Logan Paul at WrestleMania 39 back in 2023). However, this celebrity guest was mysteriously absent when the New Wave Pack launched in May, with developer Visual Concepts promising that they would be added at some point in the future.

WWE 2K25's next DLC pack features KSI, which can open the door for another big social media star to join the roster in the future.
PostsNow, it seems that this plan has been changed, and WWE 2K25 is instead adding a currently active member of the Monday Night Raw roster. As announced on the official WWE 2K25 Twitter page, anyone who has purchased the WWE 2K25 New Wave Pack DLC either by itself or as part of WWE 2K25’s Season Pass or any of the game’s special editions will be able to add the masked luchador El Grande Americano to their wrestling lineup free of charge in September.
WWE 2K25 Replaces Celebrity DLC With El Grande Americano
Hailing from “the Gulf of America,” El Grande Americano made his debut on the March 24 episode of Monday Night Raw, dressed in an American flag-themed costume and sporting a look and move set suspiciously similar to American Made leader Chad Gable. Even though Gable was sidelined with a shoulder injury late last month, El Grande continues to appear on Raw, and many suspect that this new version is Ludwig Kaiser. While El Grande Americano himself is making his video game debut in WWE 2K25, both Chad Gable and Ludwig Kaiser have appeared in several past entries.
