NetEase Games has revealed that Marvel Rivals players will soon be able to earn free skins for Rocket Raccoon and Groot as part of the upcoming battle pass for Season 3, which is scheduled to release on July 11. In addition to bringing fresh cosmetics to Marvel Rivals, Season 3 will also add the characters Phoenix and Blade to the hero shooter's ever-expanding roster.

It was recently revealed that NetEase Games will also be releasing a new type of cosmetic in Marvel Rivals with the launch of Season 3. These new cosmetics will be called accessories, and players will be able to earn them by playing the Quick Match and Competitive game modes. As gamers continue to play, they will earn Accessory Points, which can then be exchanged for fresh cosmetics. Accessories are little charms that are attached to a character, like a plush of Mary Jane that can hang from Spider-Man's hip. These accessories are hero-specific, meaning not all characters will have them.

In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games released a short teaser trailer giving gamers a fresh look at what they can expect to see in the battle pass for Season 3 of Marvel Rivals. While the video showed off new costumes for heroes like Jeff the Land Shark and Squirrel Girl, the post also stated that players will be able to earn two skins from the battle pass for free. The skins being given away are new symbiote-themed costumes for the Strategist Rocket Raccoon and the Vanguard Groot. The Symbiote Raccoon and Flora Symbiote skins give both heroes sinister makeovers with a ferocious appearance.

Groot and Rocket Raccoon aren't the only heroes receiving free skins, as players will also be given the opportunity to earn a new costume for the popular Duelist Storm. The upcoming Symbiote Storm skin in Marvel Rivals will be featured as a reward for completing the Milano Repair Logs challenges, in which players will help the Guardians of the Galaxy fix their signature ship. The skin showcases the mutant sporting the classic Venom suit, which is modeled after her appearance in the Venomized Variant of the comic book X-Men Prime from 2017.

With the launch of Season 3, gamers will also be able to claim a free skin for the Duelist Hawkeye as part of a new set of Twitch Drops coming to Marvel Rivals. In order to acquire the Will of Galacta skin for Hawkeye, players will need to link their Twitch account to the popular hero shooter. They will then need to watch an eligible stream for four hours. Doing so will also reward players with a free spray, nameplate, and emote. With a whole new season to enjoy and even more content just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Marvel Rivals.
