Grand Theft Auto 6 fans may want to circle August 7 on their calendars, as Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has confirmed its next earnings call will take place on that date. While any significant updates surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6 will likely come from Rockstar, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has been known to discuss the ongoing development of the title during these calls, which means new details could be shared next month.
It's now been over two months since Rockstar shocked the world with Grand Theft Auto 6's second trailer. Its release also came alongside an updated website for the game and over 70 new screenshots, which have kept fans occupied for the last eight weeks. But after analyzing every tiny detail of the trailer, recreating standout moments in other games, and discovering every easter egg there is to find, fans are eager to know when the next trailer or info drop surrounding the game will arrive. While it may not be anything massive, a small development update could be shared in the coming weeks.

Why Grand Theft Auto 6 Fans Shouldn't Be Breathing a Sigh of Relief Just Yet
Rockstar Games hasn't announced the MSRP for GTA 6 yet, but players shouldn't get their hopes up about its price, in spite of recent events.
PostsTake-Two Interactive, parent company of Rockstar Games, has announced it will be holding a new quarterly earnings call on Thursday, August 7. These calls are usually hosted by the company's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, and last for approximately one hour. During the call, Take-Two will update its investors with news and details on the company's upcoming titles. While many will be well aware that Take-Two is the owner of Rockstar, the company also owns Mafia publisher 2K Games, mobile giant Zynga, and many more. Alongside some possible development updates, Take-Two often updates listeners and shareholders with new sales figures for the likes of Grand Theft Auto 5, Red Dead Redemption, and many more.
Take-Two Has Provided GTA 6 Updates in the Past
CloseAny major news surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6 is unlikely to occur during the call, but that doesn't mean fans shouldn't tune in on August 7 for a potential development update. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick regularly discusses Grand Theft Auto 6 in interviews and earnings calls, often reaffirming that the game is still on track. It's also worth noting that the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 only stated that it would be released in 2025, but it was during a Take-Two earnings call that its release window was narrowed down to Fall 2025.
Of course, we now know that the Fall 2025 release window is a thing of the past, as Rockstar Games shared some disappointing news earlier this year when it announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 had been delayed. In a new statement on Twitter, the studio said that its goal is to always "try and exceed your expectations," and Grand Theft Auto 6 will be no exception to that. Rockstar went on to state that it needs the extra time to deliver the quality fans have grown to expect from the studio.
Grand Theft Auto 6 will now launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 26, 2026.
