It’s been mostly a rough season for Lewis Hamilton and his start with Scuderia Ferrari. However, the seven-time world champion says there’s a glimmer of hope as the team is finally working to correct problems he’s been complaining about for some time.
This Arizona mansion for sale has a killer go-kart track.
As we’ve reported before, Hamilton isn’t exactly in love with the Ferrari SF-25. The team has worked to fine tune things this season, in particular the loose rear on the racecar which makes handling sketchy through tight turns.
Even Charles Leclerc doesn’t like how the SF-25 handles. And there have been rumors that Lewis as well as Leclerc are going to leave the team for greener pastures.
Those rumors appear overblown, at least with Lewis, so it appears for now the man is sticking with the prancing horse.
“Work is underway on the 2026 car so that we can prevent having the same problems again next year, such as the eradicating of the annoying understeer,” said Hamilton.
Many fans are openly wondering why Scuderia Ferrari hasn’t fixed the understeer issue already. Part of the problem is in FIA regulations. And part of it is all about resources. Instead of just fixing the SF-25, the Italians are making the strategic decision to put those resources into the SF-26.
In a way, it’s like they’re admitting defeat for this season. But this has to taste like vindication for Hamilton, who has endured a mountain of criticism for his overall lackluster showing this year, not getting a single podium finish.
However, for Ferrari fans the wait might be a little too much. After all, there’s still plenty of racing in this season, which is only halfway over. While Hamilton pushed it at Silverstone to finish fourth, that’s not the kind of performance everyone’s been expecting from him.
There’s always next season.
