LandenGames2025-07-156140

Bungie fully reveals the Edge of Fate artifact and all of its available perks, really focusing on Solar, Strand, and Stasis builds for Destiny 2 players. It's the final few days before the Edge of Fate expansion launches in Destiny 2, bringing with it a new era for the long-running game's lifecycle and player base.

Over the past month, Bungie has continued to reveal new features and changes coming to Destiny 2 alongside the expansion, many of which are going to shake up the current sandbox enviornment. Besides the switch to the Portal from the former Director menu, Bungie is also adding what it calls Armor 3.0 to Destiny 2, adding set bonuses and a new gear tiering system which increases stats and perks for higher versions. As expected, Edge of Fate will have a new artifact to level up, with Bungie finally lifting the curtain on what players can expect.

In its latest blog update, Bungie revealed the Edge of Fate's artifact, known as the Implement of Curiosity. It's unknown if this new artifact will gain additional perks similar to the recent Episodic Acts in Destiny 2, but for now, the Implement of Curiosity specifically boosts Solar, Strand, and Stasis-specific builds, including the return of Threaded Blast. However, for players who prefer the other subclasses not specifically highlighted, such as Void and Arc, the Implement of Curiosity also has "Elemental" mods that grant bonuses regardless of the currently active subclass.

Destiny 2 Edge of Fate Adds the Implement of Curiosity and New Perks

Naturally, the artifact also features plenty of Anti-Champion perks for Destiny 2 players, with Edge of Fate specifically highlighting Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Sidearms, and Hand Cannons. However, players can also pick perks that are a bit more flexible, like an anti-Overload option for Auto Rifles and SMGs or an anti-barrier for Scout and Pulse Rifles. Here is the full breakdown:

Column 1: Anti-Barrier Scout and Pulse, Unstoppable Sidearm and Hand Cannon, Unstoppable Sniper Rifle, Overload Shotgun, Overload Rapid Fire Column 2: Flame Fiber Freeze, Authorized Mods: Scavengers, One with Frost, Tightly Woven, Rapid Precision Rifling Column 3: Fever and Chill, Elemental Benevolence, Frost Renewal, Reciprocal Draw, Refresh Threads Column 4: Threaded Blast, Cauterized Darkness, Elemental Daze, Shoulder to Shoulder, Elemental Coalescence Column 5: Radiant Shrapnel, Shieldcrush, Elemental Overdrive, Tangled Web, Frigid Glare Close

The perks themselves seem to hint at potential meta coming within Edge of Fate, as Stasis, Strand, and Solar are seemingly positioned as strong options. Needless to say, there will be plenty of new things for players to check out once the expansion arrives, including dusting off some of the older exotic weapons which are seeing buffs in Destiny 2. Gear like the Heartshadow and Worldline Zero swords, Tommy's Matchbook auto Rifle, and even the Hierarchy of Needs combat bow are all seeing changes and boosts to help make them standout more than they have been as of late.
