Defy, a channel with reality shows like 'American Pickers,' lands a Milwaukee outlet

Defy a television network carrying unscripted reality shows like "American Pickers," "Storage Wars" and "Pawn Stars," is now airing on Channel 55.4, one of the digital subchannels operated by Ion Television station WPXE-TV in Milwaukee.
On the air since 2021, Defy is one of several free, ad-supported TV channels operated by Free TV Networks. The channel is a partnership with A+E Global Media; much of the reality programming for the channel originally aired on A&E and the History channel, both owned by A+E.
The channel began airing on 55.4 in Milwaukee July 1.

Grit also is carried on Channel 4.3 (Channel 991 on Spectrum cable in southeast Wisconsin). Channel 4 (WTMJ-TV) and Channel 55 (WPXE-TV) are both owned and operated by Scripps Television.
