Custom six-door Cadillac DeVille limousine shows under 38,000 miles and is offered without reserve at upcoming Broad Arrow auction.
A rare example of American luxury coachbuilding is set to cross the block without reserve as Broad Arrow Auctions presents a 2005 Cadillac DeVille Limousine by Federal Coach. With just 37,860 miles from new, this purpose-built six-door limousine represents the final year of the DeVille before Cadillac transitioned to the DTS.
Crafted by Federal Coach Company of Ohio, a long-established name in professional vehicle conversions, the limousine is built on Cadillac’s DeVille platform and lengthened to include a third set of doors for improved rear passenger access. Designed primarily for livery, funeral, or executive use, the vehicle features three rows of bench seating and can accommodate up to nine passengers in comfort and formality.
Power comes from Cadillac’s 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engine, rated at 275 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Despite its extended length and added weight, the car delivers a smooth, composed ride thanks to its luxury-tuned chassis and drivetrain.
Finished in white with a black leather interior and a white elk-grain padded vinyl top, this limousine retains many of its original Federal Coach features, including fender-mounted flag holders, strobe light controls, and branded coachbuilder badging. Interior touches such as overhead lighting, rear climate controls, and wood trim reflect the upscale appointments expected of Cadillac’s flagship offerings at the time.
A clean CARFAX report documents just two owners, beginning in Kentucky before transferring to Michigan in 2023. While the car presents as well-maintained, minor cosmetic issues such as paint imperfections and a broken center console door are noted.
