Pokemon Presents has revealed that the July event will include a pre-show featuring Pikachu as a DJ, which was teased in a recently released promotional image. A couple of days ago, Pokemon Presents shared a cryptic picture of Pikachu teasing the upcoming event, and the company has now confirmed its meaning.

Ever since Pokemon shared the image of Pikachu near some DJ equipment, fans have been spinning wild theories about its meaning. A fan-favorite conspiracy suggested that, because the image was mostly black-and-white, the event might include news about the Pokemon Black and White remakes. Others speculated it has something to do with the franchise's music, which now appears to be the more accurate guess.

In a follow-up post, Pokemon Presents clarified that the cryptic Pikachu image was promoting a pre-event show. Titled "Everyone Gather! However, no further details have been shared about its content, other than that it will go live an hour before the upcoming Pokemon Presents event.

DJ Pokemon Will Likely Warm Up Fans with Some Nostalgic Music

Pokemon has so many recognizable songs that fans have come to associate with the franchise over the years. It seems inevitable, then, that DJ Pikachu in the pre-event show will tap into the series' rich discography and likely play tracks the fanbase knows and loves. Perhaps the adorable DJ will get creative and throw in some remixes of classic theme songs as well.

Once Pikachu's DJ set wraps up, the main event will begin. Fans have already put together long wishlists of what they hope to see during the July Pokemon Presents stream. However, the most likely announcements include a new look, and possibly even a gameplay reveal, for Pokemon Champions. It also seems inevitable that fans will get more details about the upcoming Pokemon Legends: Z-A, with its October release date approaching. Additionally, it's all but confirmed that the event will reveal the trailer for Pokemon TCG Pocket's upcoming set, also known as the A4 expansion.
