It also welcomes contestants from the Golden corner of the franchise, as well as former Bachelorette Hannah Brown as the Director of Paradise Relations.

Bachelor in Paradise is back for its milestone 10th season, and it's bringing the heat (and a few surprises) to a brand new beach.

Hosted by Jesse Palmer, the reality series welcomes former The Bachelor and The Bachelorette contestants to a tropical paradise for another shot at finding love. Some will walk away with a broken heart, while others will find new relationships (or even a ring on their finger).

But season 10 is shaking things up. New showrunner Scott Teti told Entertainment Weekly that the new season features an "upgraded, sexy style across the board," plus plenty of unexpected twists, including a few nods to Bachelor Pad, the franchise’s original spinoff.

For starters, the show is trading its Mexico roots for a fresh new backdrop in Costa Rica. But it's not just the location that's changing: former Bachelorette Hannah Brown is stepping in as the show's new "Director of Paradise Relations."

"She'll be checking in with the cast before the rose ceremonies, or even if somebody needs help with a romantic getaway to spice things up, she'll be there," explained Teti. "She's going to be in the mix as this director of hospitality kind of role, checking in, giving advice, maybe even providing a little yoga experience to free the minds of some people. It’s going to be fun."

And in a Bachelor in Paradise first, the Golden contestants are joining in on the fun. As the synopsis puts it, they're "proving once again that age is just a number as they bring their experience, and a little extra spice, to show the younger crowd how it's done."

A chic poolside patio and swim-up bar await contestants on 'Bachelor in Paradise' season 10.

For its first nine seasons, Bachelor in Paradise whisked contestants to remote beaches in Mexico. Season 1 was filmed in Tulum, while seasons 2-9 took place at the Playa Escondida resort in Sayulita.

For season 10, the reality show will break hearts in a new location: the Azura Beach Resort in Costa Rica.

"The hotel is more upscale and has a sexy chicness to it that feels more elevated than the traditional kind of Paradise world that we've been in," Teti told EW. “The cast can literally open the doors to their rooms and swim out into the pool under bridges, and then up to a beautiful bar that is touching the beach."

He continued, "It has amazing views. The beach itself is private and unique. There's a beautiful island right off it with a bunch of fishing boats that surround it every day, with a quaint little town right next door, but not a ton of foot traffic. It feels remote and upscale and sexy at the same time."

Is there a Bachelor in Paradise season 10 trailer?

Kind of. On June 10, ABC dropped a video showing the first 16 contestants strutting onto the beach. A few days later, they revealed the Golden Bachelor cast in a separate teaser that ended with the group waving from a boat like the reality TV royalty they are.

Since then, ABC has been rolling out juicy promos on TV and social media, giving viewers glimpses of the romance, chaos, and sun-soaked shenanigans headed their way this summer.
