Did HGTV Cancel 'Battle on the Beach'? Alison Victoria Weighs In

After four seasons, Battle on the Beach has been a summer mainstay for HGTV viewers. But, with the recent cancellations at the network, fans may be wondering if the show is returning. Thanks to star Alison Victoria, it seems like we have an answer.

Since 2021, Alison has starred in the competition series alongside Taniya Nayak and Ty Pennington. The HGTV hosts served as mentors for up-and-coming renovators as they updated beach houses and went head-to-head in design challenges.

HGTV has not responded to Country Living's request for comment on the fate of the series, but Alison addressed it on her new Pap Smear podcast. On a recent episode, she was joined by Ugliest House in America host Retta and said, "I did a show called Battle on the Beach. I love that show. It was so fun and funny. And then all of a sudden, I watched the episode, I’m like, ‘Well, where’d all that [great content] go?’ I get it, it’s a lot of content to try to put into 42 minutes, but where is it? Where’s the great editing?"

She continued to confirm that the series had, in fact, been canceled by HGTV. She said, "You’ll lose a show that way. I truly believe that. Battle on the Beach did not get picked back up, which is sad, because it was like adult spring break"

Battle on the Beach joins a growing list of shows that have been recently canceled by the network. The hosts of Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, Izzy Does It, and Bargain Block have all confirmed that their shows have been canceled. HGTV has not given any statement on their updated programming.
