Destiny 2 Players Discover Frustrating Issue Following Release of Edge of Fate Expansion

Destiny 2 players have discovered an issue affecting ability regeneration. The reports came after the release of Edge of Fate, the newest Destiny 2 expansion that introduced a fresh chapter in the story of Bungie's popular shooter.

Destiny 2 takes players to Kepler, a planet with a rocky exterior covered in yellow webs, temporal distortions, and numerous hidden secrets. This expansion introduces a new activity, The Sieve, in which players fight to repel the Vex and the House of Exile, who want to uncover the mysteries of Kepler. Shaking up the Destiny 2 meta, Bungie introduced new abilities called Destinations, which allow players to do things like turn into a ball of energy, along with new gear for their Guardians. There is a lot to see in Edge of Fate, but one problem has been affecting the gameplay for the Destiny 2 community.

On Twitter, the official Destiny 2 development team profile revealed that an issue with energy recharging at incorrect rates is under investigation. Currently, the community has seen the feature becoming available at stat mark 85. However, Bungie said before that reaching 70 in an ability stat was equivalent to the values before the release of Destiny 2's Edge of Fate, and that going beyond that would make the energy regenerate even faster. With that, the devs said they will release a fix in an upcoming Destiny 2 update, so players can access the feature starting at stat mark 70.

Destiny 2 Encounters Another Problem After the Release of Edge of Fate

In the same post, the developers state that a detailed explanation of how the statuses will be corrected will be shared in the patch notes for the update with the energy fix. Some of the responses to the tweet expressed frustration with the issue being addressed after Desert Perpetual, Destiny 2's new raid, released on Saturday, July 19. Like other raids, Desert Perpetual was made available in Contest mode, a set of rules and modifiers applied to provide a competitive environment for all Destiny 2 players.

Incorrect power generation isn't the only bug Destiny 2 has had since the release of Edge of Fate. One of the most notable issues is preventing players from relaunching the expansion's missions after leaving them early. Two other bugs are causing audio issues on PlayStation 5 and causing the game to crash for PlayStation 4 players when they enter the Tower. Destiny 2 has already identified these errors and will release fixes in the coming days.
