Singer Neil Diamond, 84, isn’t letting anything slow him down. The iconic Brooklyn-born performer—made famous by hits like “Forever in Blue Jeans” and “Red Red Wine”—recently treated fans to an impromptu performance of one of his biggest songs. The surprise sing-along thrilled Diamond’s legions of fans, who were overjoyed to see the Grammy Award winner looking healthy and sounding pitch-perfect despite his 2018 Parkinson’s disease diagnosis.

The impromptu moment happened after a performance of the Los Angeles production of A Beautiful Noise, the musical celebrating Diamond’s life and music. Wearing a dark baseball cap and jacket, Diamond surprised the crowd at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles with a rousing version of his 1969 hit “Sweet Caroline.”
