“I shot my stuff for The Bear before we shot this movie, which is crazy, because we shot it about a year ago,” she noted to People.

“You told me a little bit,” Lerman confirmed, as Gordon apologized, “Yeah. Sorry. You’re like, ‘You told me everything!’ I can’t keep a secret.”

Written and directed by Sophie Brooks, Oh, Hi! stars Gordon and Lerman as Iris and Isaac, who are enjoying their first romantic getaway when Isaac tells Iris he’s not interested in a serious relationship. Having just engaged in some light bondage, she leaves him chained to the bed while trying to convince him to be her boyfriend.

Gordon, who co-wrote the film with Brooks, told Deadline at our Sundance Studio, “The idea came from Sophie and I both having our heart broken, and Sophie kind of being my guru through my heartbreak in COVID. We kind of wanted to make something about the communication breakdown of our generation. I mean, it’s always been ridiculously hard to date, but we do feel like it might be the hardest that it’s ever been, and we just wanted to kind of poke fun at all the funny experiences that we’ve had and our friends have had.”

In The Bear, Gordon plays medical resident Claire Dunlap, the romantic interest of Jeremy Allen White‘s Carmen Berzatto.
