Goldman Sachs raises baseline tariff forecast on US copper imports to 50%

(Reuters) -Goldman Sachs on Wednesday changed its baseline to a 50% tariff on U.S. copper imports from 25% previously.
"Given the increased risk of a 50% tariff, we expect a further acceleration in shipments into the U.S. in the coming weeks, as the incentive to front-run the tariff implementation has increased," the bank said in a note.
