According to a report from Variety, the show will follow Stuart as he "is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki), accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon." With the help of his girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus), geologist Bert (Brian Posehn) and quantum physicist Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie), the quartet "meet alternate-universe versions of characters we’ve come to know and love from The Big Bang Theory."
"I wanted to do something radical that would take me out of my comfort zone," Chuck said in an official statement, per the outlet. "Something the characters on The Big Bang Theory would have loved, hated, and argued about."
Additionally, fans should know that this is the fourth series to join The Big Bang Theory universe. In addition to TBBT, the franchise has welcomed the spinoff shows Young Sheldon (which ended in 2024 after seven seasons on CBS) and Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage (with season 2 airing this fall on CBS).
